Volume button is stuck in the up position.

Volume button is stuck in the up position.

Just as the title says, my volume button is stuck in the up position. This means I cannot power up my phone without it going into fastboot mode, thus rendering my phone useless. I did not bump or hit the phone prior to this, my phone was just in my pocket the whole day. Any ideas on the fix?
