Why cant my brother printer print on my Windows 10 laptop?

Why cant my brother printer print on my Windows 10 laptop? I have a Brother Printer model MFC 235. It was working perfectly with my windows 7 laptop. However the Windows 7 machine stopped working so bought a new HP Windows 10 laptop and now it wont recognize the Brother printer. Cannot install the windows driver.

"Hi:Still having trouble printing? If so, while the previous advice given here seems sound, there may be a couple hangups that can be easily resolved.

A first thought: When you try to print a file, do you get a print preview screen? If so, make sure the Brother printer is the destination your print job is set to go to. (Your Brother should show up as a drop-down option, and you can select it as your default printer from that). It’s possible the file is currently headed for a PDF or Microsoft XPS or some other goofy option, not to your printer.
