Why is my unit stuck in drain mode

Why is my unit stuck in drain mode Cycle ran and now if I close the door after two or three minutes. The unit starts up in drain mode all by it self. The only way to stop it is leave the door cracked open.

Most dishwashers start in a drain mode then they fill wash drain repeat. If yours finished the complete wash setting but continues to drain for hours, then you have an issue in the timer or control board. Or, it’s possible that the cycle wasn’t finished or is set to start washing again. Shut the door and let it run 5-10 min and see if it advances to complete the cycle. Without a model number, that’s the best I can offer. I have seen some issues similar in Bosch dishwashers that have a safety switch underneath that will sense a water leak and put the unit in a drain thinking it’s overfilling.
