Why is the steam and hot water wand leaking water when brewing?

Why is the steam and hot water wand leaking water when brewing?

Hi, I have the Sunbeam Barista Max Espresso machine (EM5300). When brewing coffee (by pressing either the single or double shot button), the steam and hot water wand is leaking/expressing water. The wand should only express water or steam by turning the dial to either ‘hot water or ‘steam function. But the wand is leaking water when brewing coffee. Can anyone suggest what the problem is? Any possible solutions?
