BE A PLAYWRIGHT. Write one scene for a one-act play applying the various elements, techniques and -

1. Choose one topic from these social issues/concerns: poverty, teenage pregnancy, education in the ‘new normal’, climate change, drug addiction, politics, and LGBTQ. The story should be realistic (can happen or is happening in real life). 2. Follow the format of the previous play script (Faith). a. If you will handwrite your output, you can still apply the format and provide at least halfinch margin (left and right sides of the paper). Do not write at the back of the page. If you have to erase a word or group of words, simply strike it out with one line (ex. creative writing) or use correction tape if available. Please write legibly. b. If you will use cellphone or laptop, format is Times New Roman 11pt, one-inch margin on all sides. 3. Make sure these elements are present: plot (exposition, conflict, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution), characters (costume and props), dialogue, and stage directions are present. 4. AVOID PLAGIARISM (copying existing play scripts/other materials or from telenovelas, Kdramas, and other live action films).
