Can't hear anything after battery was taken out.

Can't hear anything after battery was taken out.

Can't hear any music after I took my Eclipse MP3 battery out since it was out dated. It still turns on without a battery which is pretty weird, but when I plug my headphones in, (Or any other type of headphones) I can't hear any music. Would be very thankful if someone helped.
