Do I need the power board

I have a sanyo dp50740 I do not see any standby light and when turned on the green power light comes on for three seconds then goes off. The first attempt you hear a click

If the Pwr LED is turning OFF in 4-5 sec., these are the most common failures on the SC & SS Bds., If any are shorted, please replace the board.
