"@btheballer based on two things I am convinced that you are right with suspecting the backlight. A. “dark screen only see with only a flashlight” and B. its a Vizio. Those are plagued by inferior backlight strips. Of course, measure the DC voltage on your power board to the LED backlights. Careful, you will have to do that while the circuit is live. On some of those you can expect around 300-400 VDC. Looks like the connector for your backlight LED’s is the one on the top LEFT of your first image. Set meter to VDC at high voltage. Black probe on LED - and Red probe on LED + Again, its a live board so you want to be careful as to not cross some wires or contacts.
The backlights are actually in the panel and the only board they connect to is the power board. Check this guide LG 55UH6150 backlight LED replacement to see how to change it. Different make and model but definitely same idea. It’ll be a bit of a PITA due to the size of the panel. Remember that the LCD screen is only a few mm thick. You do not want to flex the LCD screen etc. Take your time and it’s not difficult, just cumbersome."
