How to replace a washer inlet adapter

How to replace a washer inlet adapter The inlet hose adapter on left upper quadrant has 6 hoses,3 going in and 3 coming out, the adapter has a hole in the middle marked for bleach,first it was hose now coming out hole,why can't I just straight hose it into where it goes straight to water ANSWERS:
