iPod upgrade to 120g?

iPod upgrade to 120g? Can I replace my iPod's 80 GB driive with a 120 GB drive? Can it be done as far as connections and space go, and once done will the iPod work with it? Will it be able to recognize the bigger storage space? ANSWERS:
