Loud knocking noise and when the cycle completes

The drive belt really does not care which cycle your washer is on. Its only function is to connect the motor to the transmission. So, if it spins the drum in any cycle, your belt is okay. Are you pretty handy when it comes to repairs?"
I have a Canmore 110 series washer,when the spin cycle engages,there is terribly loud knocking nois. What could it be.
