Microphone not working on headset

Microphone not working on headset
Microphone does not work. Tried different microphone pieces direct to 3.5 and usb dongle to PC and still does not work. Multiple devices as well. I disassembled the ear piece and all connections look good. The only thing I can think of is the delivery cable. Anyone else have this issue?
