My FW50C85T Sanyo TV screen is black but I do have sound.

Can this be fixed by purchasing the proper component or proper board?

First, check your connections and make sure that you arent just receiving a blank input.

If you have picture and no sound, it is probably a bad capacitor causing a short somewhere on the picture board. My suggestion would be to simply replace the picture board by opening up the tv and writing down the model number."
