My phone is still playing audio after I connect my wireless headphones

My phone is still playing audio after I connect my wireless headphones
When I was trying to watch a video with my bluetooth headphones, even though it was connected it was playing audio on both my phone and the headphones. I don't know how this even happened. Please help me.
