My sanyo cassette player model:MGR-80 will not play any of my tapes

i won this sanyo cassette player Model: MGR-80 on ebay the seller said it was used but in good working order. but once i got the item it will not playe any of my cassette tapes at all. when you look at the tape player its in good working order. but will not for some reason play my cassette tapes.
