Only one of my ear pieces working, how to rectify that?

Only one of my ear pieces working, how to rectify that?
I recently purchased a JBL T280 model headset. It was working fine, but sometimes, only one of the two earpieces work. I remove and put again, it starts to work fine. But now I can't fix this. Is this a real issue in all the headsets or only certain?
