Refrigerator not cooling and compressor is not running

Refrigerator not cooling and compressor is not running I have a GE Profile Refrigerator model SPPSS26SHRSS. The refrigerator is not cold and the compressor is not running. 2 days ago the ice and water dispenser stopped working. But the freezer continued to make ice. When I pressed the button for water or ice the green light flashed. When I open the door to the refrigerator the light in side was flashing. Last night I opened the freezer door to get a piece of ice and notice the ice was 1/2 melted. Check the temperature for the freezer it said 35 and the refrigerator was at 57. Emptied out everything from both side. Temperature only increase by 3 degrees. Checked the condenser below the fridge and in back for dust. Vacuumed and very little dusk came out. Tried unplugging the unit and plugging it back in, no change. Can you advise what we should try doing or what parts may need to be replaced.

"if all fans r working, all lights on, just the compressor is not running,

most likely the inverter board--- screw to compressor is bad.

compressor itself may also bad.

to check if the compressor went bad, you need to have multi-meter to measure

the resistance. Unplug the 3-prong plug on the compressor, in general,

all these 3 prong should have the same ohm, if any one pair is 1 ohm less or more,

bad compressor.

Other way to check compressor for ground. connect one prong on compressor with your

meter pin(red or black), another end to metal or copper pipe from the fridge. Meter should Not read

any ohm. any beep or ohm indicates the compressor grounded, need to change.

If compressor is good.

use your multi-meter amp clamp to one of the 120v wire from main board to inverter.

plug that 3-prong plug back to the compressor, power on the fridge,

if meter doesn't show any amp in reading,

the inverter board is bad. it means the board is receiving power but can't send signal to the compressor. Board replacement is needed."
