screen has no picture just sound
the screen is completely black sound is fine can change channels. the model number is hlt5087sx

On this model a black screen with the lamp on could mean: Replace the DMD board. Of course it could also be the lamp or the ballast.
You can also see if your DMD board can display its test pattern.
