Spinning and draining but clothes still dripping wet

Spinning and draining but clothes still dripping wet Washer is draining and spinning but clothes are still dripping wet. Takes 2 or 3 extra spin cycles to get them drained enough. Drain hoses and water pump are clear of clogs. How do you know if a water pump does not work? ANSWERS:
