stopped spinning and has loud screech noise
Kenmore 110.91551210 loud thumping, then stopped spinning and has loud screech noise - still agitates and drains - took all apart, replaced the motor coupling (rubber piece was really beat up), replaced cam brake (small piece was broken off it), replaced clutch band - after putting it all back together, it barely tries to spin and still has loud screeching noise. One person suggested the pump drain is clogged - I hate dealing with those hoses but I guess maybe? Another said it's the bearings and not to bother trying to repair as too difficult and costly. We've had this washer since about 1994 and it's been great till now. Also, a couple of years ago I replaced the lid switch, so I doubt it's that since last time there wasn't the loud thumping or the screeching.
