Strange rattling noise after repair

My parents had their dryer serviced on Monday and today when they were doing a load of laundry the Dryer was making a severe rattling noise when it was operating. There is nothing on top of the dryer so this baffles me. What can I do?

ANSWERS:

"Why did they have it serviced? Is the person who serviced it aware that there is a problem,? They may be missing a tool or socket. Call them and after explaining, hold the phone up to the appliance so they can hear the problem. No service tech wants a bad review left on the internet.

UPDATE

I think you are going to have to take the back off and try to locate the source of the noise. I suspect the Drive Belt and that it has been adjusted or the tension fully may have been adjusted. What did the invoice state? How much was the invoice. is it broken down as to labor and parts? How much time did the repairman take? What make and model is it? Why in the world didn’t you ask this question before you had it repaired?

Drive Belt

The drive belt is a very long, slender belt that wraps all the way around the dryer drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor. Over time, the drive belt can become frayed or otherwise damaged. If the drive belt is frayed or damaged, the dryer will be noisy as it turns. Inspect the drive belt for signs of wear. If the drive belt is worn, replace it."
