this is one of those case where I’d be looking a the power (P) board more closely. Your new boards are of course new boards etc. Check the caps and traces for obvious damage. It is easily possibly that weak capacitors fail easier in higher temperature. Of course can’t rule out other components like MOSFET’s that have the seame behavior.
