Top half of screen freezes content then fades to black

Top half of screen freezes content then fades to black Hello. I have a 24 inch Sanyo tv that I was using as a monitor. Recently the top half of the screen would freeze then darken in the top half looking like it was burning. Then it would reset itself. Today when I plugged it in the top half was purely black, no image. ANSWERS:
