Truck will not drive. Powerless in drive gear only

Truck will not drive. Powerless in drive gear only My truck can reverse fine but it will not drive in d gear. It will drive on 2 but it hesitates and jerks. It will also reverse and shift to reverse and park and neutral normally. This problem started just this afternoon.
