Why do I keep blowing t-con boards?

Why do I keep blowing t-con boards?

My frustration is immeasurable. Less than 3 year old XBR-55x850c dies. Red light blinks 6 times. Research all over the place. Determine I need to change out my t-con board. I do so, update the firmware, and it works for about 4 hours. Side note is that I’m rather green, and didn’t know that bracket was a heat sink. So the t-con was installed without putting that heat sink bracket on. Still not knowing this was a mistake, I change my power board. No change. I change the main board. No change. I change the t-con again, and again, it works for a couple of hours and dies. Given the tv does work fine for those few hours, I’m not convinced there is any problem with the main board or power board or the panel or back light. At this point I realize I need to put the t-con board in the heat sink bracket. I research this and find that I was making this mistake indeed. So cool, I’ll get yet another t-con board and put it in the correct way. I do this and it fails in 20 minutes!!! I’m losing my sanity and ready to take a sledge hammer to this thing. I simply cannot keep flushing money down the toilet.
