Why does water freeze in bottom of fridge?

Why does water freeze in bottom of fridge? I noticed water in bottom of fridge turned to ice. Then saw the back had ice. I thawed the fridge fully. After plugging it back in the bottom ice came back after a couple days.

could also be icemaker tray is bad and not releasing ice properly. I have to replace my icemaker tray every few years to keep it from filling the ice bin up with a solid block of 2 gallons or so of solid ice. You can stop the icemaker and see if the ice accumulation problem goes away. if so you have found the source of the water that is getting in the bottom of your freezer.
