Why is my dryer not heating?
We have a whirlpool dryer older model. My husband has tested EVERYTHING for continuity, everything seems to check out fine and getting electricity. We just 2 weeks ago cleaned the venting system out because the dryer stopped working all together, we replaced the thermal fuse and it started working again. But Now it runs but doesn’t heat? We have pulled the motor out as well and that’s getting continuity as well. Is there anything we are missing here? Please help!
ANSWERS:
Make sure you have 240v AC coming to the dryer before you throw it out. Could very well be an issue in the outlet or the breaker box. The dryer will run like normal - but no heat at all. Very common that I diagnose brand new dryers not heating and find that to be the case:)
