Why is my microwave making groaning noises?

When my microwave is running it makes a loud, groaning noise. It seems to heat the food properly.

ANSWERS:

"Hi,

Check the rollers on the roller ring under the turntable, for flat spots. Flat spots on the rollers can cause the turntable ring to stutter or make a grinding noise as the rollers are 'dragged' past the flat spots.

If the rollers do have flat spots on them, (check all 3 rollers) you will have to replace the entire roller ring as the rollers are not a separate replacement item.

If the rollers seem OK then check if the roller “track” is smooth and even and clean. If the track is OK then perhaps the turntable drive motor is failing and needs to be replaced."
