Art is another way to communicate. It tends to rely more on an effort to move people emotionally, instead of logically. Art influences feelings and can change the perception of the art consumer about the topic of the work of art. Insofar as it is a part of a larger effort to influence people. It is one means among many. To let it claim all the credit for change would be a mistake. Similarly, excluding it from playing a role would also not give it its due. Art plays a role, but it certainly isn't the only thing that influences feelings and personalities.
