"The given structure, 2H-C=C-H2, is a hydrocarbon classified under alkene. It is named as ethene.

Alkene contains carbons and hydrogens on its chain with a presence of a double bond. An alkene is named by adding “-ene” at the end to indicate the presence of the double bond. A carbon chain can contain two or more double bonds and it has certain rules to be followed on how to name it.
