Second Teachers' National Conference-Workshop on Theater Education: Strategies in Teaching Theater Arts

The Association of Rhetoric and Theater Educators (ARTE) of the Philippines, Inc. will conduct the Second Teachers' National Conference-Workshop on Theater Education: Strategies in Teaching Theater Arts with the theme "Theater Education: Reaching for New Heights Towards Global Standards" on February 27-29, 2012 at the Bicol University Amphitheater, Multi-Purpose Building and at the Jennifer Hotel, Guevarra Street, Legazpi City. The Conference-Workshop aims to:

1. assess the theater education in the Philippines whether or not it achieves the criterion on the state-of-the art ;
2. draw strategies on developing appreciation for Philippine theater education;
3. determine the present national standards of theater education and tradition and develop strategies in keeping abreast with global standards;
4. enhance the participants' knowledge and skills in rhetoric and theater arts;
5. translate their knowledge and skills into effective strategies in teaching the same; and
6. elect the new set of ARTE officers.
   

The participants to this activity are Special Program for the Arts (SPA), Physical Education, Health and Music (PEHM) and language teachers, supervisors and school heads.
