5th International Conference on Globalization and Localization in Computer-Assisted Language (GLoCALL)

The Department of English and Applied Linguistics (DEAL) of the De La Salle University-Manila will hold its 5th International Conference on Globalization and Localization in Computer-Assisted Language (GLoCALL) on October 27-29, 2011 at the Century Hotel, Pablo Ocampo St. (formerly Vito Cruz St.), Manila. The plenary lectures and parallel session presentations will focus on the following sub-themes:

1. Application of technology to the language classroom;
   
2. Localizing internet materials to the classroom;
3. Using the internet for cultural exchange;
4. Managing multimedia/hypermedia environments;
   
5. E-learning, collaborative learning and blended learning;
   
6. Emerging technologies;
7. Fostering autonomous learning through technology; and
   
8. Training language teachers in e-learning environments.

 
The teachers from both public and private schools are invited to attend this activity.

The registration fees are as follows:

Early bird rate (before August 31, 2011) - PhP 4,500
Student rate (with valid ID) - PhP 4,500
Regular rate: walk-in rate - PhP 5,000
Group of 5 (to register at the same time) - PhP 4,000
