- The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Bureau of Alternative Learning System (BALS) will conduct the National Training-Workshop on Basic Course for the 300 ALS Mobile Teachers at the Ecotech Center, Lahug, Cebu City on June 7-10, 2011.
- This training-workshop aims to provide the ALS Mobile Teachers with the basic knowledge, attitudes, values, and skills necessary, in order for them to effectively and efficiently perform their roles and responsibilities in their community.
- The participants to this activity are the 300 ALS Mobile Teachers hired in 2009. The official number of participants from each region is as follows:

- Selected members of the National Core of Trainers will be tapped to serve as resource persons during the conduct of this training program.
- For the efficient conduct of the activities, the participants and trainers are advised of the following:
- Expenses relative to the conduct of the training-workshop program such as travel, board and lodging of all participants and trainers will be charged against BALS funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations;
- Plane fares of participants and trainers are to be computed based on the discounted airfare. Therefore, the participants are expected to take the cheapest form of transportation to and from the respective training venue;
- Transportation expenses of the participants and trainers will be reimbursed after submitting original and official tickets, receipts, and other required travel documents; and
- Participants are expected to arrive at the venue in the afternoon of June 6, the travel day to venue, and leave on June 11, 2011 after breakfast. Registration starts at 3:00 p.m.
