- engage teachers and students nationwide to generate local content using community mapping techniques and information and communication technology (ICT);
- promote ICT integration in basic education through curriculum-based topic categories, and to encourage teachers and students to use local content in curriculum applications;
- develop students' skills in research, writing, leadership, teamwork, and technology; and
- encourage schools to build relationships with other Smart Schools partners and groups within their local communities, to raise the students' community awareness.
The contest registration period is from July 11 to August 30, 2011.
The SSP partners and on-line associates (secondary schools) are required to submit at least one (1) entry to either "Ano ang Kwento Mo" or Learning Challenge. The participating schools shall be awarded points for "School Mo Panalo."
The teacher-student teams are expected to design and develop a video blog site where they will present the stories of their respective communities. The stories will be based on the following topic categories:
- Environment and Disaster Preparedness;
- Arts and Culture;
- History and Society; and
- Travel and Cuisine.
a. Grand Champion : PhP30,000.00 for DPSA School Team;The contest mechanics and the endorsement form are enclosed.
b. Category Winner : PhP10,000.00 for DPSA School Teams: and (One winner per Topic Category)
c. Special Awards : PhP5,000.00 for DPSA School Teams. Best in Video Blog Site Design and Layout; Best in Team Collaboration; Best in ICT Integration; and Best in Community Involvement
