Firefighters or firemen in Cebu could hardly enter the Robinson Mall during the fire event that took place on April 17, 2011. The heavy black smoke hinders them to penetrate the target area inside the mall. It took them several hours before the fire was under control. But what was aggravating the story was due to the lack of breathing apparatus for the firemen. The Robinson Mall fire event in Cebu created a urge of action for the Cebu City government to supply more breathing apparatus for the firemen in Cebu. What if the same fire incident would happen in SM, Ayala and other big malls in Cebu, is Cebu City fire department ready for that?
