Then, another follow-up reply from the same phone number which says, "Iho/iha nagkamali ata ako ng share a load sa iyo ko ata na ipasa yung 300 na load na para sa aking apo baka pwede mong ibalik ito yong number ng apo ko 09974155334. Gawin mo lang 300 send mo sa 29974155334 replayan mo ng YES ang sunod na mensahe pasensya na sa abala maraming salamat. Pagpalain ka sana.
You can recognize some common elements with these text messages:
- The message doesn't come from the official GLOBE SYSTEM number. You can determine it's from GLOBE if the sender is GLOBE, GCASH, GLOBEMYBILL (or other related globe trademarks). Globe will not use a particular number such as 09974155334, 09163256948 or other same kind of numbers. Instead of a phone number, the word GLOBE, GCASH, GLOBEMYBILL will appear as your sender and that's a legitimate message. Take note of that if you receive a suspicious message.
- Scammers will devise different ways to entice you to transfer load or money to them. MONEY, that's the goal and motivation of the scammers.
