Kwento-Lit 2011: Kwentong Bulilit, Ito and Malupit! Writing Contest

The Layap of the University of the Philippines (UP) will hold the Kwento-Lit 2011: Kwentong Bulilit, Ito and Malupit! Writing Contest this August in celebration of Buwan ng Wika.

The contest aims to establish and promote the use of one's mother language in story writing by showcasing the individual and original works for children.

The contest is open to elementary pupils and secondary students nationwide.

The important dates in the contest are the following:

June 14, 2011 - Official start of the contest
July 8, 2011 - Deadline of submission of entries
1st week of August 2011 - Announcement of winners
