In celebration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of the country's national
hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal, a documentary entitled " Pluma" will be aired
over GMA News TV on June 19, 2011 from 8:30 to 10:00 p.m.
The documentary will feature passages from Rizal's writings during the significant moments in his life. "Pluma" aims to give the audience a glimpse into the brilliant mind of the national hero through unique storytelling. It will begin with Pepe as a frail child who loved to write, one who penned "Sa Aking Mga Kababata" at the age of eight. It will go on to his life as a lover and friend, featuring letters to former flames and best friend Ferdinand Blumentritt. "Pluma" includes Rizal's writings from El Filibusterismo, till his works while in exile, up to his final goodbye, " Mi Ultimo Adios" written while on death row.
