Donation Drive for Victims of Typhoons "Pedring" and "Quiel"

From September 26, 2011 until October 3, 2011, two typhoons entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Typhoons "Pedring and "Quiel” had left thousands of residents in Regions I, II, III, IV-CALABARZON, IV-MIMAROPA, V and National Capital Region (NCR) without access to food and water.
In this light, the Department of Education (DepEd) would like to ask for urgent donations which will be forwarded to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). According to DSWD’s National Resource Operations Center (NROC), the suggested donations are the following:
  1. ready-to-eat food (canned goods, noodles, etc.);
  2. water; and
  3. blankets
This donation drive will start on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 and end next Wednesday, October 12, 2011. All contributions will be received at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan, Ground Floor, Rizal Building. Cash donations may be coursed through the Employees Welfare and Benefits Division (EWBD) for proper accounting.
