The Association of Educators for Interrelated Research and Studies
(AEIRS) will conduct the National Seminar-Workshop on Campus Journalism
with the theme "Techniques of Article Writing for School Paper
Publication” on the following dates and venues:
October 14-15, 2011 - Quirino Hall, Teachers Camp, Baguio CityThe seminar-workshop aims to:
November 4-6, 2011 - Mindanao Training and Resource Center DMST Drive, Bahada, Davao City
January 20-22, 2012 - DepEd ECOTECH Center, Lahug, Cebu City
- promote the importance of school paper to the participants;
- orient them on the techniques and procedures of writing articles in the following areas:
- News Writing
- Editorial Writing
- Feature Writing
- Sports Writing
- Interpretative and Investigative Writing
- orient the teachers and students on the Code of Ethics in News Writing.
The participants to this activity are professors/teachers handling journalism subjects or acting advisers of school publication, college instructors, supervisors, principals, head teachers, coordinators, editors-in-chief or staffers of a school paper and other interested teachers and students from both public and private schools.
A registration fee of Two Thousand Pesos (PhP2,000.00) will be charged to each participant to cover expenses for the speakers’ fees, lunch (2), snacks (5), handouts and certificates. A discounted fee of One Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Pesos (PhP1 ,780.00) will be given to early registrants.
