Peace and Cooperation (Paz Y Cooperacion)

The Peace and Cooperation (Paz Y Cooperacion), a Spanish non-governmental organization will conduct the Peace and Cooperation School Award 2013 with the theme Art as a Universal Language: Creativity for Peace.
The Art Competition campaigns reach out to children and schools to explore the theme as the way to unite the world. It also aims to teach the children about the importance of artistic expression in building a harmonious world.

The students and teachers are invited to submit entries which include different forms of art for a chance to win prizes in various artistic categories. It is hoped that many schools would take part in this activity.

The prize of the School Award is funded by the Peace and Cooperation, Human Rights Bureau of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Spanish Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Council of Gijon and the Community of Madrid. It also receives support from other Spanish government agencies and some private companies.

The Awarding Ceremony will also be held on February 7, 2014 in Manila, Philipppines.
