Compared with gasoline engines, diesel engines are characterized by high thermal efficiency, good economy, low failure and low exhaust pollution. Therefore, most trucks with a loading capacity of 7t or more are equipped with diesel engines. In recent years, with the shortcomings of the diesel engine's own low speed, high quality and high manufacturing and maintenance costs, it has been adopted by some imported cars and medium and light trucks.
The diesel injector is directly mounted on the cylinder head of the diesel engine. The head of the injector is in contact with the high temperature combustion chamber. The working conditions are very demanding, so it is one of the key components that affect the design specifications and performance of the diesel engine. Injectors are generally divided into open and closed. Most of the diesel engines used in vehicles use closed injectors. There are three common types of fuel injectors: hole injectors, pin injectors and low inertia injectors.
Frist. Hole type injector The hole type injector consists of needle valve, needle valve body, ejector pin, pressure regulating spring, pressure regulating screw and injector body. The most important of these is the needle valve and the needle valve body (generally called the injector or the fuel injection head) made of high-quality bearing steel, which are collectively referred to as needle valve couplers. When the injector is working, the high-pressure diesel oil pumped by the fuel injection pump enters the injector through the oil pipe joint, and then enters the annular high-pressure oil chamber in the middle of the needle valve body through the oil inlet passage on the injector body. The oil pressure acts on the pressure cone surface of the needle valve, forming an upward axial thrust on the needle valve. When the thrust is greater than the preload pressure of the pressure regulating spring and the friction between the needle valve coupler (this force is very small). The needle valve moves up immediately, and the sealing cone at the lower end of the needle valve leaves the conical ring band of the needle valve body to open the injection hole, so that the diesel oil is injected into the combustion chamber at a high pressure. When the fuel injection pump stops supplying oil, the pressure in the high pressure oil passage drops rapidly, and the needle valve returns to the position under the action of the pressure regulating spring, and the injection hole is closed. The number of nozzles of the hole type injector is large (generally 1-8), the diameter of the nozzle hole is small (generally 0.2-0.8mm), the injection pressure is high (generally 17-22MPa), and the self-cleaning ability is poor (spraying The hole is easy to coke and block), which has high requirements on the quality of diesel filter. It is suitable for direct injection type combustion chambers with high requirements on spray quality. For example, the 5-hole closed type injector used in the CA6110-2 diesel engine has a nozzle hole diameter of 0.32 mm and a fuel injection pressure of 17.2 MPa. Another example is the double-hole closed type injector used in the 6120 diesel engine. It is 0.42 mm and the injection pressure is 17.5 MPa.
