Camera won't power on. I replaced the batteries but doesn't power up.

Camera won't power on. I replaced the batteries but doesn't power up.

I put new batteries in the camera but it won't come on. The light pops up but the camera won't power on. Any suggestions? Is there an internal battery that I need to replace?
