Can I connect the Jbl Chrage 2 with the Charge 3?

Can I connect the Jbl Chrage 2 with the Charge 3? I have a Charge 2 and just bought a Charge 3 under the assumption these two devices will connect. I can't figure it out with all online doc and youtube. am I out of luck? ANSWERS:
