Cover on microphone/button came off

Cover on microphone/button came off
The cover on the buttons/in line control has disconnected from the device. Without this piece the volume buttons can not be depressed. There is no clear way to clip the top back on. While there are metal clasps, neither seem to connect to anything inside the unit.
