Disconnected the oven microwave combo and now microwave door locked

Hi, we unhooked a 27” GE wall oven with a built in microwave so we could replace it with a gas unit. The unit worked fine, it’s now sitting on our back porch. I tried to open the microwave door to take pictures and it won’t open. Do the sensors lock the Microwave door when the unit is unhooked from the power?
