It will be washing then stop, and F 1 comes up.
The washer will stop and F 1 comes up. What does this mean?
Bill, the error in general indicates that the pressure signal is out of range. The control board monitors the water level signal internally on the control board. If the control board senses something wrong, you will get this error code. If the pressure hose & air dome checks good, you will need to have the control board replaced. Here is the other issue. There was a recall on the control board for exactly that reason. The "dreaded F1" error. So you could try and contact the dealer you purchased the washer from or try to contact Kenmore itself. If that does not yield any result, You'll probably have to replace the control board yourself. The part number is W10189966 and the going rate is around $200 US for a new board. Here is a a video that shows the replacement, and the least expensive part I found is on here. Hope this helps, good luck.
