Vertical green lines on tv screen

Vertical green lines on tv screen

I have Samsung ue46f6670

ANSWERS:

"Unplug all cables except the power cable, turn it on and see if you still have the green line.

If without any image input, the line is there, you have a faulty LEDTV.

If it goes away, it's the cable/connector.

Report back with your findings."

It’s not your TV, it’s the FETV broadcast. I have this problem intermittently and only with Black&White programs. I thought it was my TV too but I have a brand new Sony 65” X950G and still have the problem. Plus if it was your TV all channels would have the same problem. FETV does not offer digital service yet so standard broadcast tends to have problems on modern TVs

Thank you for saving me cost of new TV monitor. Vizio 55” of six years kept showing green start-up screen instead of gray and then green plasma on images and splotches on skin. Tapping on back helped for a few hours or so. I took your simplest solution to unplug the power cord briefly because don’t know how to replace panels inside and Occam. It worked! The images look like 4.0K, but only 1.4K.

I also had a thin green line to the left of the screen vertically on my Samsung. I took a damp cloth and carefully rubbed up and down and it went away. I don’t know for how long but I’m happy now.

Had this problem last winter.. I threw out tv. This year it happened to another tv when I had heater on. I unplugged overnight and it worked again. The problem being lack of power to the tv. Don't throw out that tv.
