Tape speed is usually 15ips but we also sell recordings at 7.5ips, 3.75ips and occasionally 30ips. Every tape has been checked for quality. SHORT (100 FEET) LENGTHS OF NEW PREMIUM STUDIO GRADE 1/4"" RED LEADER TAPE COLOR CODE THE HEAD AND TAIL OF YOUR REELS WITH COLOR LEADER! A BRAND NEW 100 foot (30.48 meter) roll of Red leader tape on a 5"" reel for professional or hobbyist reel to reel use. The reel may be a ""Low Torque"" as shown in the picture or a regular 5"" reel. The tape and reel comes in a new 5"" box as shown. Traditionally, red leader is used at the tail of the reel. Much of the leader tape sold on eBay is the light weight, nearly transparent, stuff that is slit a hair too wide and difficult to handle. Our green leader is a premium quality heavy weight tape that is similar to the old BASF or AGFA leader used in studios all over the world. We use it here all the time and have found it to be wonderfully consistent and reliable for use with any type of 1/4"" tape. We think you will feel the same way!
