National Conference on Language and Literature 2013

The Department of English and Comparative Literature of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman, the College English Teachers’ Association, and the Council of Department of Chairpersons of English, in partnership with Primetrade Asia, Inc. will hold the National Conference on Language and Literature with the theme Language and Literature at the Crossroads: Research Routes, Learning Landscapes, Teaching Terrains on September 10-12, 2013 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.

The Conference aims to:
  1. acquaint the teacher-participants with evolving research paradigms and linguistic scholarship;
  2. expose them to the recent developments in learning theories and praxes;
  3. familiarize them with innovative teaching techniques and creative pedagogies in the language and literature classrooms; and
  4. engage them in discussions on the language and literature aspects of the K to 12 Curriculum.
The Conference will be held in conjunction with the 34th Manila International Book Fair scheduled on September 11-15, 2013.
The educators, writers, teachers and students nationwide are invited to attend this activity.

Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
